WILL-- Durable power of attorney for healthcare-- 01-- I might not have one

Although I signed up for cryonics in 1991, I still don't have a durable power of attorney for healthcare contract set up. My paperwork from Alcor says I should find one and apparently listed some Alcor members who were willing to serve on this, but I lost that list and it's likely out of date anyway. I'm astonished at my own amnesia on this... and more astonished that despite living near Alcor, we've never had routine meetings at headquarters to help members learn about this kind of paperwork. Anyway, I just read some old 1991 sign up papers from Alcor and am trying to refamiliarize myself with "power of attourney for healthcare". The websites will help too-- I guess.

Its' interesting to note that nobody discusses it on Cryoent or any of the cryonics threaded forums I started, including Cold Filter. Neither do I see it on AU or Imminst. I've had a mental block on it for years... we truly do not want to think about preparing to die. It's really interesting in a way-- and mind numbing. Maybe there have been other barriers too. I'm sure all the wealthy people in cryonics have all this covered since they can hire experts who can "pull it all together" for them.
