My comment-- yes I agree-- and this is most evident in the nutty scheme called perpetual trusts. And it's not just one guy-- it's a bunch of cryonicists who were written about in WSJ-- in Jan. 2006-- that shocked me-- and depressed me-- and transformed my view one whole discrete notch LOWER-- including my personal regard for people like Dave Pizer-- who promotes such schemes-- as OPPOSED to "intergenerational trust". Dave Pizer's view that we little net-worth cryos should support Alcor-- and that the future will take care of itself is DEEPLY flawed and I now view Dave Pizer's life-philosophy as fatally flawed.

My comment-- I agree but my latest theory about cryonics is that cryonics is a FRONT front for cryonics. In other words, there is a rogue ideological platform or virus in cryonics-- that is centered on money. THAT element has succeeded in brainwashing HONEST cryonicists into thinking that the center of the cryonics movement is cryonics. The LAST thing the monetary-oriented cryonics movements wants is "social" togetherness.

My comment-- I agree. And I came up that conclusion myself when Saul KEnt used that as a way of thinking years ago-- after his Cryonet series called-- The Failure of Cryonics. Saul kent isn't a philosophy. He is a "business man"-- and simply ought not be trusted in matters of philosophy. The idea that proving cryonics can work can lead to success for cryonics-- is only a theory. It could actually lead to more trouble. Besides the essence of cryonics is NOT reanimation-- but the provision of conditions for the possibility of reanimation-- THEN reanimation. Remember freeze wait reanimate? Whatever happeend to wait? Ev Cooper knew the truth. Saul Kent didn't. History will record that.
