UNILATERAL ACTION-- vs. idea exchange

I see a lot of evidence that people in all areas of life are acting on things without consulation and discussion. They think "actions speak louder than words"-- which is true but at the same time-- an action without preceding words-- is pretty uncivilized in a lot of ways. Coopertive action, informed action and action that takes others into account is the civilized way to go. People seem to have the idea that the world is about "survival of the fittest"-- the Darwinian winning solution to everything. Not true. I'll look into that soon if I have time. The point here is that you can't expect to have a sane world with people engaged in actions that betray others, that act against others interests-- that dont' take others into account. In fact, acting in the interests of others-- is the key to successful progress. It's the opposite of what these people thing. And the gold standard for humanity should be "survival of the weakest"-- If we can provide for the weakest among us-- THAT is the way to the future.
