ALCOR-- salaries-- increases

Funny how things have worked out. I'm no friend of FD-- and I don't like unperson's political philosophy-- but these guys have been regulars on Cold Filter-- a Networ54 forum that I helped start and shape with then intention of seeing lots of N54 forums by cryos-- but which ended up piloted by Jon Hinek and moderated by FD-- who kicked me out a long time ago. Still, my IDEA-- of threaded discussion like N54 offers-- as a better method than CryoNet-- actually "worked". That's my legacy. Now, I'm showing dumbed down cryonicists how to blog using alphabetical tags. Nobody in cryonics has copied my method yet-- but give the slow people time and they'll come around.

The other mechanical aspect to N54 forums that slow wits are missing is that they're not getting published widely when they post to N54-- that requires the Google blogsearch engine using keywords. In this post, for examle, I'll point to that Alcor salary discussion that FD is on-- which is good work-- [+]-- and now it'll appear in the google blogsearch under keyword cryonics.

He mentions Riskin-- and I think that this might be the tipping point where Riskin and the other board members start rubbing their chins thinking about being more vocal on Alcor's blog-- currently being posted to with fairly mundane stuff. The Alcor blog, however has the potential to BE more than it can be, like the Army. And now is a good time for Riskin to make an official comment about salaries on the the Alcor blog. We'll be watching.

Dave Pizer recently made a foray into my concept originated N54 forum-- so as a slow learner on the electronic media curve-- he nevertheless "got there". Money doesn't neccessarily buy brain speed-- but it can buttress your long term learning curve. Dave is currently focusing our attention on the lack of democratic processes in the Alcor membership. The FD exposure of salareis and the recent large increases-- are part of this process of democratic reform at Alcor-- using the new media which allows wider exposure of internal affairs at Alcor-- despite the lack of transparency.
