CRYONICS-- Venturists-- 02-- I've effectively been turned down for membership

Through a series of conversations and emails, it turns out that I've been banned from posting to the Venturist forum and I've been turned down in my application for membership to the Venturists. That may not be true in letter-- it may be truer to say that I can't jump through the hoops at this time-- but "effecitvely"-- it's "true enough".

I originally wanted the Venturiests to act as medical proxy for paperwok on my will-- and I also wanted to leave my estate to the Venturists but due to something I wrote, one of the board members of the Venturists, Mark Voelker, felt insulted. I can't figure out what the apparent insult was but there are two aspects to this-- the insult itself and then whether an insult should be grounds for letting a fellow cryonicist, me, dangle in the dark over the issue of my will and my medical proxy.

ON the matter of insults-- it turns out that cryonics people have "thin skins". Some claim to have thick skins-- like CADC-- but they lie because they expose real world names as retribution every time they feel cryonics is insulted. This demonstrates that cryonicists, in general, value their ego more than truth. When I deliver an insult, it's always in the context of a main point-- colorfully articulated. The cryonicists usually choose to focus on the insult component and ignore the content component and actually use the insult as an excuse to discredit my point-- which point cannot be discredited in that manner. But that's how cryos are-- and they're all becomeing more and more like that. It's pretty amazing to witness from my point of view.

My own respect for all human beings allows me to grant everyone that dignirity and then to zero in on their weak position-- whatever that is-- and hyperventilate on that-- because no matter what, the person has worth as a human being-- and maintains that dignity. That's why frriend can get away with teasing one another where strangers can't. I'm assuming friendship in the cryonics world-- which gives me license to attack on point. They don't see it that way.
