[+] Dave continues his campaign of reviewing Alcor's situation at Cold Filter. I'm not sure where this is going-- and I'm already familiar with the history of problems. I'm trying to figure out what he's doing-- exactly.

He seems to be interested in using a democratic process for board elections at Alcor as a way to induce growth-- since membership would become more interested in something that they can affect. Then he makes a second reference to a meeting of wealthy people over the cryonics sitution.

MY COMMENT-- Dave refers to a lot of angles on cryonics in this post but he's missing some factors that I think are important. The most important factor involves the macro issues-- the world financial collapse is pre-occupying everyone right now-- Greenspan said something is going to happen that will put us down-- this is frightening-- I think this might be 9/11 part II... Cryonics is not separate from the world and world affairs. The current group of cryonicists need to think Y28K-- because what's needed now is not new membership based on cryonics but new membership based on survival systems and political survival of the USA. The wealthy people he has been speaking to might be blind to the coming Dark AGe threat-- in which case-- we're doomed. It's not Alcor per se that has a problem-- Alcor's management is a MANIFESTATION-- or a SYMPTOM of a deeper underlying problem.
