WILL-- 01-- processing

I'm currently working on my will and the will of a friend. There isn't much to go on in the cryonics community-- on the subject of wills-- that's easy to find. But wills are important. I'm discovering some things I didn't know so-- it's interesting--

I found out that it's easier to work with a paralegal than a laywer... and in Arizona paralegals can do pretty much everything a lawyer can do for less money. I have to have people I can leave money and responsibilties to.. and that's a problem. At one time I thought Alcor and the Venturists and people involved in those organizations would be easy to work with in this regard-- but it's not so easy. In 2008-- or even in the coming week-- I'm going to have to name some names on my will-- of orgs and people-- and it's sobering to realize that I have nobody I can call on in this regard-- even in the face of death. We really are alone in the universe in many ways. My best friend is AstroJesus. No wonder people make up ideas like Jesus-loves-me-- because the rest of the world is so God-damned cold.
