I have nobody personally who can transport my records to the far future.. either in the current form or in digital form. DVDs and CDs only last so long before they have to be rerecorded. I'm considering what it means to be personally physically annihalated-- experiencing the same feeling I got when I was 17 and first considered personal death. Total non-existence-- Then last night, reading Larouche, on immortality, it appears that there's a form of immortality embedded in the continuity and uplifing of mankind that I keep forgetting about-- Larouche goes to great lenghts to discuss this-- and it's important-- as a Classical Humanist to "get" -- to "understand"... and it provides the foundation for "physical" immortality. You want to continue to have a positive and permanent effect on the world-- as well as to be continuously consciously present. Cryonicists don't deal with this quite deeply enough.
