My reading of Larouche's history of the world is a continuation of my McMaster studies. [more +]

I attended McMaster University in 1978[+] While in Social Science there, I ended up exploring one library shelf quite a bit-- on American history. And the question rose in my mind "how did the USA become the superpower it did-- and how did Canada, just north of the USA-- NOT become a superpower". Starting in 2000, I finally got some answers to that question. Now, in 2008, I see that the superpower status of the US has been under attack by the British empire since the inception of the USA-- and the force of oligarchy in one form or another has been mankind's public enemy number one for thousands of years. It's really difficult to continue "studies" once the vagaries of having to make a living and dealing with reality strike a young person. I was in my early 20's while at Mcmaster as most students are-- and to a large extent, I was free to do as I pleased-- within tight monetary constraints-- but having nothing like the pressures I do these days. Still, my self-develpment of my own understanding of the world took a big leap forward over the past seven years.

Seven years is a long time in student time. University educations last three to five years-- but during the past seven years, I've had to work really hard to make my living at the same time. It hasn't been easy. I now have the ability to look at the world through a Larouche lens, however, and it's a stunning view.

Far from being 'the future" I expected "the year 2000 to be"-- and was brainwashed into thinking it would be, it's been the culmination for the Global Imperialists of a process that began with the assassination of Jack Kennedy in 1963-- which was another "shot heard around the world"-- because that assassination wasn't just the beginning of an attack on the United STates, but on the entire nation state system!

There are silly people in the world-- and I'm referring directly to people I invite to read this forum-- who believe that personal lives have little to do with big historical events. I beg to differ. The process that what can be called the British empire started-- is something that is now climaxing in the destruction of the dollar. We're living history right now-- and the events occurring are not simply events-- but rather history in the making.

We are NOT in the future-- I am not in the future I imagined-- I signed up for cryonics initially in 1978-- long story there-- but we cryonics people looked to the future as futurists-- as futurenauts-- very interested in technology-- but as it turned out- the history of the future of technology turns out to have been subverted too.

I'll try to tighten this up later.
