COMPUTERS-- Open Source--

[+] I personally don't understand what the fuss is about here. Mac has an open source component in what it does. I haven't explored it but it's there. Ithink we're looking at a future that involves both open and closed source and everything in between.... sort of like how websites and marketers present their products now-- introductory freebies that are somewhat useful, with full protection and charges for the full versions of things. This blog, for example, is totallly free of charges to me. I don't quite udnerstand how they affort that at blogger, but they do. I think google owns it and they scored big in advertising-- so they can toss out access to these blogs for free. Similarly the N54 forum linked at the top of this forum is free, if you allow ads. If you pay, you get to reduce the pop up ads. Software could work the same way... I think. I don't know much about software but I would guess there are analogs all over the place.
