Why is GLD falling in the past few weeks?

I'm using GLD-- a gold index-- to moniter the strenght or weakness of the US dollar-- and we see GLD falling back [+] That's not expected-- given that the situation in the financial monetary system is as dire as ever. I would expect to see a steady increase-- and absolutely no retrenchment. It would be nice to have a better hedge against a falling dollar-- The best one is Larouche's plan for a new bretton woods. [+], the expose of Obama and the taking of the White House by Hillary-- and then putting the FED into bankruptcy.
