Direct investing in a company with dividends creates possible retirement-- 801(k)

I'm gettiing an email from Steve Suggerud occasionally. He covers a lot of interesting possibilities for making money-- although he certainly does not mind the ethics of anything-- like ethanol. He says invest in corn-- because corn prices are rising due to ethanol plants-- Yeah-- and the world is starving. Anyway, aside from starving people (see what I mean?)-- there is another angle on stocks being talked about-- he calls it 801(k)-- they're also called DRIPS-- and are direct purchase of stock from companites that pay dividends-- McDonalds is one.
