WEATHER-- 01-- Atlanta downtown hit with tornado or hurricane?

It appears Atlanta's downtown was hit with a tornado but the picture here looks like a hurricane. [+]

[+] This "radar overlay" seems to show a red spot developing, presumably the storm-- but it doesn't jive with the first picture above.

[+] Short clips in an ATlanta news report of people in panic watching dome roof coming off-- no perspective-- no real covereage on CNN cable in Pheonix today-- bizarre report becauset the newscaster is more concenred about the game...

[+] It's interesting to note that we now see videos being uploaded for an event faster than ever. That's good-- it puts the tv idiot box in its place... although I'd like to see more private individuals reporting.

[+] Here's an exmaple of the type of reporting I'd like to see more of. This is a different tornado-- but the style of reporting is the point here. The reporter says intelligently that local activitists need to get involved in meteorology. The guys name is Gary Booker-- and he even had a direct feed of his computer screen showing the radar report to the video...

[+] I think the best way to find videos is not google video-- but google blog seach where guys post videso on the blog like this one. This has several videos and the third one down is the best one-- raw footage inside the dome.
