CRYONICS-- 02-- Cryonics very private and closed shop

I know, through heuristic reasoning, that there is a lot of exchange of information going on within cryonics-- among certain cliques-- but these people are not reporting to the outside. This must be seen as a characteristic of cryonics. In my book, it's sociopathic. It's not an academic discipline that offers a newcomer a view of cryonics that is useful in a traditional academic sense. There is no attempt being made at all by any cryonicist to share their ideas and to parse those ideas in a systematic and civilized manner. Again, this is a character trait-- a flawed one-- in cryonics-- that is self-destructive to cryonics as a whole.

The information about cryonics that is publicly shared is relatively trite, and edited free of anything controversial, or insightful in a self-critical sense. The systematic purging of publicly shared information about cryonics on all levels-- not just the black boxing of Alcor-- is something that must now be seen-- as a true character trait of cryonics as a whole. Another is the extremely poor writing skills of those who are writing publicly about cryonics-- other than me... and a few others like Maxim and CPlatt at times. Even they have their weaknesses compared to me-- because writing must involve frequent references to historical elements-- and that is never done.. and so what writing there is done in public is flat and shallow-- or over technical without framing in a general mode for the general audience. Jones writing Alcor reports, for example, is extremely poor for contextualizing.

A better writer, Steve Bridge, misses the mark because although he contexualized nicely in Wrong Path series in 2007-- he discontinued that vector-- and refuses to blog. So without follow up, that good idea was swallowed up in the mist of time, and nobody ever refers to it anymore. A terrible set of writers at Life Extension Magazine which is really a catalog pretending to be a magazine is the absolute worst. It's not cryonics its read by cryonicists since Saul Kent puts it out-- Kent being a big wheel in cryonics. The front cover this month features the headline... "Dr. Joyal reveals novel ways to reduce toxic glycation reactions". Oh really? Gee, I'll have read THAT right away. REductionist morons write titles like that. Geez.

Everyone involved in cryonics can be characterized as a deficient writer, except me-- I'm doing the best I can but have been continually attacked by CADC and others-- and recently this blog was knocked off Google blogsearch-- and google email alerts-- a highly useful way to publish-- because I'm not liked for my asssociation with genius Lyndon Larouche who is the most advance futurist on the planet because his economic forecasting is accurate-- and for other reasons. Cryonicists beleive the slander about Larouche and refuse to deal with the truth.. Cryonicists are anti-truth in this way. And that's the real "wrong path"-- the "wrong path" is to continually evade the truth and to deny others the ability to write about it as best they can.

Cryonics, to this is extent, is morally and ethically corrupt to a very deep degree. And you wouldn't expect this to be the case from a group of people who ostensibly want to delay aging and death and maybe circumvent death-- a pretty huge task. So that's a paradox. The explanation of reality that resolves that paradox is that the typical cryonicist is not at all interested in the future-- but rather is interested in themselves in a time frame that only pays lip service to the future. Take well known cryonicist Dave Pizer for example.

After years of talking about Ventureville and even setting up a two million dollar facility that he said was a precursoe to Ventureville, he silently dropped the idea without discussion. The concept was to have a college-dorm-retirement hotel deal near the Alcor lab for members nearing the end of their lives to improve preservation. He continued what was ostensibly an effort for years without public discussion to tweak that idea along the way-- and lately said nobody wanted it-- so he dropped it. Does that mean there is no need for it? No. Does it mean that it can't be done? No. It means that there is a paradox-- in that it makes perfect sense for a cryonicist to live and work near a cryonics lab-- and yet nobody of means and knowledge in working that out-- has followed through on it-- nor discussed and written about it to the extent that problems can be ironed out. So much for the cryonics mission. This is one reason why I now guess that cryonics is a front for something else-- I'm not sure what- but money and ego are components-- because cryos are certainly not writing about the mission.

There are vast societal imlications as well as implications for the death care industry -- and other industries-- when we write about cryonics but we do not see outside professionals invited to write about cryonics for any publication connected with cryonics. It's extremly close off in that way. Melody Maxim was an outside who was attracted to cryonics and her views are extremely professional from the point of view of a perfusionist-- yet she has not been given the platform she deserves-- and instead has to resort to various forums and blogs. She is never referenced in Alcor blog-- or publications. Again there is no viable single source for cryonics publishing-- other than CryoNet-- that is open source-- I was personally able to persaude her to blog-- which is a start.

Overall, the cryonics people are emailing each other. That is the primary watering hole. And they're private. They keep to themselves. They slander and stop anyone like me from publicly writing about issues-- to their best ability. They live in fear-- a lot of fear. They value their ego to the point where they seem to have forgotten about the future-- especially the future of civilization. They are mostly radically anti-Christian in the most basic sense-- such as being considerate of others. They are anti-academic-- proven by the lack of blogs-- the best way to publish today. They're activities seem to revolve around one person, Saul Kent-- who never publishes anything anymore. In a sense, cryonics-- not just Alcor-- has been black boxed. And if that continues, cryonics will be deep sixed as well.

EXTRA IDEAS

1. Alcor is a 501c4 and is responsible for education. They pay only lip service to this. And they do it with a grudge. That is not what they're primarly interested in-- and they always act in a manner consisent with doing education with a grudge. Their education effort is abolutely minimal. This is consitent with running a private and closed shop operation. Especially egregious in this aspect is their lack of discussion of the bylaw requireing a Director electorate under CA law which is where Alcor was incorporated.

2. As an example of not mere sociopathy, observe Jon Hinek's "blog roll". [+] I was the individual who got Hinek started on the N54 process and he knows I do this blog that includes cryonics entreis on a frequent basis. I've been banned from that forum and he refuses to list me on his blog roll-- this-- despite my frequent references and links to his site. His reasoning was that I was trying to steal readers. This exhibits fear.. and hatred... I think. Jon is physically crippled-- but apparnetly mentally crippled as well.
