CRYONICS-- Disappearing cryos-- Pancake disappears

Regina Pancake who moved to Phoenix to take a position with Alcor after having deactivated her movie prop business entered the Cold filter discusison with great promise in 2007. [+]. I watch what goes on in Cold Filter (which isn't very much actually, being dominated by idea-suppressor and general smiling thug FD) and it seems that Pancake has disappeared, absorbed into the Alcor black box.

Then again, there may be private email lists percolating in the background of the internet where the public cannot see what's going on-- and there certainly is plenty of discussion among insiders in cryonics both on and off the net that I'm not privy to (and don't want to be). The task of self-appointed cryonics investigative reporters-- which is in essence what I do here I guess-- is to glean what I can from publicly available material. And to that extent, all I can see from my vantage point is that Pancake went underground-- which is disappointing to me because it at first appeared as though she would be transmitting some useful material from inside the Walls to cryo-plebians on the outside of the castle.

No such luck.

Oh well. We DO have a new improved Alcor blog-- which truly impresses me... so that's the upside of this. [+] I would suggest to cryonics observers that it's probably time to regard Alcor blog as the FIRST point of reference for cryonics research. It's much better today than it was even a year ago... despite the fact that they turned comments OFF. I'm actually beginning to LIKE the alcor blog-- which coming from me-- is a BIG step.
