TRANSHUMANIST DEFECTORS-- Anne C.

I've seen Anne C's blog around for awhile now-- and lately she's been posting what I personally find an interesting angle on things-- she's expressing a disenchantment with transhumanism. [+].

I'm not sure if THAT post is the one I originally found-- I can't seem to find her anti-traanshuman post-- I submitted a comment and now I can't find it. It's possible she refused to publish it -- or removed it-- or removed the entire anti-H+ post... I can't tell because I only did a cursory reading originally.

The link above is close enough for now-- and to boot-- she refers to being bowled over by existentialism around age 20-- same as me-- which I tried to express online years ago-- 1997-- thereabouts-- on a webpage that introduced cryonics from an existentialist view. Apparently nobody else viewed things that way-- and now in 2008-- heres' one other human being who saw it exactly as I did.

I offerred anne c a link to this Christian Humanist Cryonics Club blog-- but so far no feedback. There more I read her stuff-- the more addicted I become-- she's in line somehow-- with Classical Humanist thinking... I don't know if I'll have time to study her further-- but if I have time, I will.

OLDER PEOPLE-- Anne C. views with dignity
Anne writes...

"only very recently (and rather grudgingly) come to see that no, progress cannot occur in an insular vacuum of well-practiced technological experts, this is not something I would have imagined myself ever saying in public even a year ago.

It's just that it's becoming more and more clear to me that, for instance, biogerontology is not likely to get much further unless great strides are made socially to affirm the value of older people and not push them to the corners, marginalize, or warehouse them by default."

ME-- This is insightful and Anne shows great promise as a Christian Humanist-- even though she didn't respond to my comment as far as I can tell. I plan to make it feasible for Anne to become familiar with "agape" concepts-- though my monitering of her blog here-- if she's open to it. She seems to have a lot of readers-- and so is a great vector person.
