MY COMMENTS--

I think the first step in examining the issue of democracy Alcor is to initiate an alphabetical keyword blog. Secondly, with a situation like Alcor, the ONLY thing that allows insight beyond the public facade is professional private investigation. I visited a PI the other day on a matter of setting up my will and will of a friend. All cryos ought to be talking about their wills by the way in my estimation.

I plan to have some life insurance money earmarked for a PI to investigate my own suspension if and when that occurs-- with eoough money to publicize the results. That way, I feel I can lock in a monitering control on Alcor that is independent of Alcor. If they screw up my preservation, that's bad for me but through the investigation and publicity I create post-mortem, Alcor would have problems-- If ALL members did that, then Alcor would be forced to be more accountable in their work on all levels.

I've never heard of any cryonicist doing what I just suggested, but for a "true cryonicist" this is definitely an option-- a reasonable thing to do. I'm a CHRISTIAN HUMANIST cryonicist-- NOT a so-called "transhumanist"-- transitioning from human to post human. I'm quite happy being human actually-- and prefer to tweek my human factors rather than become "post human".... Try to find what "transhumansts" define as "human"-- you can't do it. Lyndon Larouche FULLY defines what "human" is... and so he's a good reference point for today's crazy poltical situation-- AND historical situation with regard to humanity.

Dave's ideas on possibilities for democracy at Alcor are definitely interesting-- I like the "representative" aspect in terms of bringing the advisors into the cycle-- and I like his idea of a minimum time for membership before acquiring voting rights. Dave is weak on publishing however. I offered to help him "make noise" on this issue and he turned it down. I think that's a mistake because only by making noise can we begin to articulate the semantic frame required to establish the problems and solutions. That is an element of democracy that even Dave doesn't seem too comfortable with-- although he's now noisy on Cryonet--- but Cryonet isn't good enough anymore. You have to blog, Dave. Look at Mark Plus's blog-- look at my blog. Look at Maxim's blog. These blogs give a sovereign person an organized publishing space. Cryonet messages get buried and are hard to track-- at LEAST consider an n54 forum-- although you can't use keywords to alphaticize, there are threads that make posts more useful.

Beyond making noise-- the noise had to be organized by keyword in alphabetical order in periodical blogs-- like I do. Once again, I'm right AND nobody believes me. Thats my fate. What I DO see is more cryoncists blogging so that their posts show up on Google blogserach under keyword cryonics-- notably Plus, Maxim and Chana and few others... accelerating futures by Reaons I think... and the google email alert works pretty good too. I will never be able to prove I had a positive influecne in this direction of things-- however I've been constantly trying to show the way since January 2006-- and I believe my efforts have had some effect in a roundabout way... so... I'm gratified to see some things happen that I pushed for.

[+] Here we see defactor Cold Filter controller FD-- who participated in my elimination from CF-- wecome Pizer. Finally, Pizer is using a threaded forum-- maybe he'll blog in 08 using alpha keywords too. Nobody in cryonics has copied my method yet, even though its powerful. FD doesn't tell Dave that Dave can create a blog and have his posts appear in email boxes via google blog email alerts... like I do.
